Instrument Bezel

Doing better, I’m only a month behind on this one! I had a good discount at Summit Racing from buying some of my exhaust parts, but I didn’t have anything I particularly needed. Since the chrome on my instrument bezel is completely worn, I picked up a new one.

The swap was pretty simple. Undo some screws, disconnect the speedometer cable, undo all the gauge wiring (take notes and/or pictures first!), swap the new bezel onto the cluster itself along with the associated parts, reassemble and make sure everything works. Pretty easy. Just be gentle if you try to clean the gauges… that white paint smears! I also didn’t bother swapping the lens itself, though I probably should’ve. The centers of the fuel and temperature gauges are part of the lens, so I still have some of the old, faded chrome, but it’s not too noticeable.

It definitely made my interior look a lot nicer. Worthwhile change for sure.
